Responsibilities:
- Manage and regulate the flow of effluent through the plant by operating and adjusting treatment plant pumps, motors, blowers, and other equipment to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Mix and apply treatment chemicals in accordance with regulations and guidelines to maintain proper chemical levels.
- Maintain and update plant operation logs, gauge readings, and reports during assigned shifts.
- Collect and document liquid and solid samples, performing routine water quality laboratory tests, and collaborate with the laboratory on testing processes while monitoring results.
- Assist in periodic maintenance tasks, including the disassembly and repair of pumps, valves, flow meters, and other plant equipment.
- Perform general maintenance of plant facilities, including oiling, greasing, and cleaning equipment.
- Contribute to the development of goals and procedures for wastewater treatment activities.
- Ensure the factory environment remains clean and organized at all times.
- Perform additional related duties as needed.
- Identify and assess departmental activities, developing programs to manage and control aspects that may negatively impact the environment.
