Responsibilities
- Review, process, and resolve Acquired Claims for both Domestic and International transactions for Nigeria and its affiliates in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with relevant units, transaction owners, and processors to resolve open and in-progress claims.
- Revalidate unsettled transaction positions with the reconciliation team for closure.
- Follow up on Third Party Dependent transactions in Dispute Portals for resolution and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure timely processing and closure of claims filed against PALMPAY merchants in the relevant Dispute Management portals.
- Provide email and phone support to acquirers and merchants for any dispute-related inquiries.
- Address client queries related to disputes and ensure swift resolution.
- Perform daily reconciliation of debits arising from chargebacks and escalate discrepancies to acquirers.
- Manage the end-to-end refunds process, ensuring all refunds are processed promptly and accurately.
- Resolve customer issues efficiently and respond to mail inquiries.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in Settlement, Reconciliation & Chargeback roles, preferably within the fintech, banking, or payment industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Digital Financial Services or the banking sector.
- Familiarity with electronic payment systems.
- Strong knowledge of payment processing and gateways.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
