About the Role

This position is responsible for driving continuous improvement in demand planning and forecasting processes across regions, enhancing the capability of the demand planning community to achieve excellence. This will be accomplished through standardized workflows, processes, templates, and data analysis. Additionally, the role will coordinate the Commercial Insights workstream to unlock category insights and drive ongoing development across all trade channels and consumer segments. The individual will also assist the Pricing & Margin Manager in providing competitive insights regarding sales and value chain prices. Furthermore, they will assess demand reporting (both forecast and actual) against standard metrics to support LAP’s core goals of value generation and growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the Commercial Demand Planning process and maintain strong S&OP compliance among all commercial stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Production and Logistics planning teams to ensure efficient and seamless end-to-end S&OP.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all data analysis related to cement supply capacities, demand planning, and cement industry insights, including obtaining commercial and market information.
  • Manage and utilize demand planning tools (DPT) and systems across the business to generate and review statistical and promotional forecasts by collecting, analyzing, and validating data.
  • Measure, analyze, and communicate key metrics while monitoring adherence to them by the relevant stakeholders.
  • Share demand forecasts with supply chain partners internally, ensuring timely delivery with clear assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reviews, identify gaps, and support markets with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Achieve >95% sales forecast accuracy (Lag1) and ≥80% (Lag3) to meet value generation and volume growth objectives in line with key business metrics.
  • Assist the Pricing and Margin Manager in developing insights and reports.
  • Support the Pricing Manager with operational data and insights for the monthly PCOMM meetings.
  • Provide data and insights to topline commercial managers to support strategic planning.
  • Contribute to strategy development across units.
  • Fully participate in the annual Budget/MTP process.
  • Aid the Field Sales Team with necessary analysis to enhance insights from market updates and visit reports.
  • Collaborate with other commercial functions, logistics, industrial planning, and commercial data teams to improve S&OP processes.
  • Recommend improvements for the demand planning and S&OP processes.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5-7 years of experience in Sales & Marketing, with at least 3 years in an analytical and data management role.
  • Multi-sector or multi-industry experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of automation and analytics reporting processes.
  • Proficiency in LOGON, QLIKVIEW, SAP, and other ERP tools for generating insights.
  • Experience managing data from multiple sources and building dashboards to report at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.
  • Strong storytelling abilities to communicate data insights effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, consumers, products, and competition.
  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong financial acumen.
