Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the administration of applications and database systems, including performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting of issues.
- Install and configure applications, ensuring proper synchronization of data across databases while addressing any application-related challenges.
- Regularly monitor database performance, implement necessary changes, and apply updates, patches, or versions to enhance database performance and efficiency.
- Safeguard data security and integrity by implementing access controls, performing backups, and ensuring proper recovery protocols.
- Collaborate with third-party developers and internal team members to create new features and resolve any data-related issues within the organization.
- Provide technical support to users and developers, addressing data-related queries and guiding them on best practices.
- Work with the team to execute disaster recovery plans to ensure database availability during system outages or disruptions.
- Perform routine database maintenance, including defragmentation, backups, and replication processes.
- Minimize database downtime, optimizing parameters for faster query response times.
- Write SQL queries to generate reports from the database, especially when such reports are not available from the front-end applications.
- Provide both proactive and reactive support for data management needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Familiarity with Microsoft NAV or Dynamics 365 BC applications.
- Understanding of the Microsoft NAV / Dynamics 365 BC Development Environment.
- Proficiency in database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, with the ability to write SQL queries.
- Experience in database backups, executing disaster recovery plans, optimizing performance, and ensuring data security.
Skills:

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
