Job Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing the performance and maintenance of BCMix systems and related equipment, ensuring smooth integration with other digital business systems like FireQ, SAP, and LogOn. You will lead BCMix upgrade projects and continuous improvement efforts while promoting Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) within the team. A key responsibility is fostering a culture of safety and inclusion across the function.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety:

  • Maintain all equipment in a safe working condition.
  • Conduct regular VPC assessments at RMX plants/offices to ensure HSE compliance, reporting findings accordingly.
  • Document and report incidents, near misses, and VPC results.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents related to your scope.

BCMix System Management:

  • Address BCMix software inconsistencies promptly, particularly during batching and production.
  • Ensure BCMix database files are regularly updated and backed up across all plants.
  • Monitor the interface system, ensuring all files, including failed ones, are successfully transferred to the ERP system.
  • Ensure BCMix servers are operational and collaborate with the central team for maintenance.
  • Manage OTC requests, such as network issues or system failures, in collaboration with the business head.
  • Oversee the smooth implementation of new applications and updates, conducting end-to-end regression tests.
  • Generate monthly BCMix error reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the RMX business.

SAP & IT Support:

  • Assist the sales admin team with delivery reconciliations and ensure smooth month-end processes.
  • Help the procurement team resolve issues related to purchase orders and scheduling agreements for all RMX plants.
  • Support the quality team with mix creation, optimization, and material properties concerns.
  • Aid in monthly inventory reconciliations, addressing any discrepancies in SAP and ensuring all idocs are processed.
  • Assist the logistics team with issues arising from new fleets, vendors, or suppliers.

Other Duties:

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation-related issues across all plants.
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new or renovated plants.
  • Provide support for electrical faults across plants and assist in plant modifications to enhance performance.
  • Ensure plants are calibrated monthly and provide support when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automated plants or production lines, particularly in Readymix concrete.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation, electrical technology, and IT.
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems (preferably Schneider) and experience setting up connections between PLCs and PCs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot PLC issues and manage PLC-related equipment in the Readymix operation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical diagrams and the ability to identify and document modifications.
  • Competence in basic PC operations and Windows environments at the plant level.
  • Experience with database installations (e.g., Sybase) and basic database management.
