About The Job
This position holds full responsibility for the performance and maintenance of BCMix systems and equipment, ensuring smooth integration with other digital business systems like FireQ, SAP, and LogOn. The role also involves leading BCMix upgrades and improvement projects, while promoting strong leadership in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices, as well as Diversity & Inclusion (D&I). A key part of the role is fostering and embedding HSE and D&I practices within the function.
What You’ll Be Doing
Health & Safety:
- Ensure all associated equipment is maintained safely.
- Conduct regular VPC (Visual Process Checks) across RMX plants/offices to assess H&S compliance, with documented reports.
- Report all incidents, VPCs, and near-misses.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any incidents within your scope of work.
BCMix Core Responsibilities:
- Address any inconsistencies related to BCMix software in a timely manner, especially during batching/production.
- Ensure BCMix database files are updated and properly backed up for all plants.
- Regularly check the interface system to ensure all files, including failed ones, are sent to the ERP system.
- Monitor the BCMix server’s performance and coordinate with the central team during scheduled maintenance activities.
- Process and reconcile approved OTC (Order to Cash) requests in a timely manner, addressing issues like poor network, system failure, insufficient funds, and maintenance.
- Oversee the successful implementation of new applications, ensuring regression testing is performed.
- Collaborate with the central team to align on updates, new software, and business improvements.
- Generate monthly BCMix error reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the RMX business.
SAP / Other IT Responsibilities:
- Support the sales admin in delivering reconciliations and ensuring smooth end-of-month activities.
- Assist the procurement department with issues related to purchase orders and scheduling agreements.
- Support the quality department in resolving issues with mix creation, optimization, material properties, and integration.
- Aid in monthly inventory reconciliation, addressing failed consumption/reception reports in SAP and ensuring all pending IDOCs are processed.
- Assist the logistics department with issues related to new fleet/vendor/supplier introductions at RMX plants.
Other Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and instrumentation-related issues across all plants.
- Participate in plant installations and commissioning for new and renovated plants.
- Provide electrical support for all plants as needed.
- Ensure monthly calibration of all plants and assist with modifications to improve performance.
What We Are Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in automated plants or production lines, particularly in Readymix concrete.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, electrical technology, and IT.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of PLC (preferably Schneider), including the ability to set up connections between PLC and PC, and perform program downloads/uploads.
- Capable of troubleshooting PLC issues during installation.
- Ability to connect PLC to devices according to electrical diagrams.
- Experience managing equipment linked to PLC for Readymix operations, with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Understanding of electrical diagrams, including the ability to document modifications made.
- Basic PC and Windows knowledge for plant-level operations.
- Experience installing databases like Sybase and performing basic database operations to confirm successful installation.
