Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized, self-driven individual to join our team as BU VIC Price PPM, who will take on key responsibilities related to price variance management, procurement accruals, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Report and resolve price variances for the Business Unit (BU), supporting initiatives to reduce price discrepancies.
- Manage the processing and reversal of procurement VIC accruals.
- Monitor one-off price changes and facilitate supplier reconciliations, ensuring accurate FX and commodity rates.
- Conduct weekly and monthly reviews of price variances, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaborate with CPM/CatMan to analyze monthly price variances, providing detailed commentary.
- Perform price reconciliation for VIC prices in COGNOS.
- Oversee monthly reviews of VIC RAU T&M, Pack T&M, and S&P T&M decks (for NG BU PPM only), ensuring they are complete and accurate.
- Manage the population of finished goods FX and excise data into CTRM, ensuring comprehensive management of finished goods.
- Support alignment between WAPT and payables.
- Populate the MAP report and ensure its accuracy.
- Complete pre-closing routines to ensure month-end processes align with expectations.
- Ensure accurate consumption volume forecasting and manage the integrity of conversion factors between materials and commodities.
- Validate and maintain accurate data on actual quantities and forecasted commodity volumes in LE tools and CTRM.
- Manage FX exposure accuracy, timing, and ensure regular reviews with treasury.
- Validate and ensure the accuracy of BU markup, reconciling discrepancies between ERP and Mubex postings.
- Oversee the bottom-up budget loading into ERP and support accuracy checks, ensuring adherence to the 1YP targets.
Annual Responsibilities
- Assist with the alignment of LE volumes, historical prices, and UoM in BU tools.
- Manage bottom-up timeline management and support bottom-up/top-down reconciliation for plug analysis and target accuracy.
- Ensure proper allocation of COMM/NC splits by plant and material.
Minimum Qualifications
- A relevant 3-year degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a similar field.
- An MBA, CIMA, or CA (SA) qualification would be an advantage.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years in a finance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in product costing and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with general accounting practices and consolidation procedures.
- Project management and problem-solving expertise.
- Experience in working with ERP systems and within a process-oriented environment.
Technical Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of consolidation and reporting tools such as Cognos, TM1, and BI.
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP and SYSPRO.
