Job Description:
Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc is looking for a skilled and experienced Centrifugal Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation and upkeep of centrifugal machines involved in the sugar refining process. This is a key position requiring a focus on safety, quality, and technical proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain centrifugal machines, including startup, shutdown, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor and manage the centrifugal process to ensure optimal performance, quality, and safety standards are met.
- Perform regular inspections of the centrifugal machines, reporting any issues to the Maintenance Team.
- Carry out routine cleaning and maintenance to keep centrifugal machines in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related problems in coordination with the Maintenance Team.
- Keep accurate records of machine performance, maintenance, and repairs.
- Follow safety and quality protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collaborate with the Production, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure smooth operations and peak performance.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an OND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 2-3 years of experience operating and maintaining centrifugal machines in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong technical expertise in centrifugal machine operation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and SOPs.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including nights and weekends.
