Crystal HR & Business Consultants – Our client, a Microfinance Bank, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Customer Service Officer

Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound customer inquiries through various channels (phone, email, chat, social media) regarding banking products and services (e.g., accounts, loans, credit cards, investments).
  • Provide accurate and timely information on account balances, transactions, fees, and interest rates.
  • Resolve customer issues such as account discrepancies, fraudulent activity, and service disruptions.
  • Process customer requests such as account opening, account closures, and address changes.
  • Assist customers with online banking and mobile banking applications.
  • Identify and escalate complex customer issues to appropriate departments (e.g., loan officers, branch managers).
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in the bank’s customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Adhere to all bank policies and procedures related to customer service and security.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information at all times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of customer service processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • HND/Bsc/ND in Communication studies, Business Administration, Banking, Finance or related courses.
  • 2 – 3 years experience in a mircrofinace or related environment.
  • ND holders must have a minimum of 4 years expereince.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using computers and banking software applications.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services is a plus.
