Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and efficient driving services for the company, ensuring smooth transportation to and from various locations, as well as assisting with vehicle entry and exit.
- Develop and communicate transportation-related policies and procedures.
- Adjust schedules and provide solutions in response to unforeseen events.
- Perform airport pick-ups and point-to-point transfers for company personnel and clients.
- Plan routes and coordinate requirements based on schedule requests from the office.
- Keep detailed records of vehicle movements in the logbook.
- Maintain a travel log to track destinations, travel times, and working hours.
- Submit weekly reports on transportation activities and operations.
- Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor or their representative.
Vehicle Maintenance
- Monitor and report to management, through your supervisor, when the vehicle requires servicing or maintenance.
- Complete daily vehicle checks as per company guidelines.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation is current and complies with State and Federal Government requirements.
- Develop strategies to assess and enhance the effectiveness of the vehicle.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle meets the standards set by the Nigerian Federal Road Safety Corps.
- Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness and ensure it is in good working condition at all times.
- Prioritize the vehicle’s safety, and in case of an accident, contact your supervisor before engaging with third parties. Any negotiations should be conducted professionally.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- 3-5 years of driving experience in Lagos.
- Valid Federal Government Driver’s License.
- Defensive driving skills.
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Positive work attitude and professional appearance.
- Good knowledge of driving regulations, rules, and etiquette.
- Familiarity with Lagos road networks and traffic regulations (particularly in Ikoyi, Lekki, and Victoria Island).
- Focused, confident, and attentive.
