Job Description

Dev-Afrique is looking for a Finance Intern to join its Finance team. This internship offers valuable, hands-on experience in financial management and advisory within a hybrid work environment. The intern will contribute to significant projects across various sectors. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, collaborate, and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance team with daily financial operations.
  • Support compliance monitoring for financial, procurement, and tax policies and regulations.
  • Aid in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Work closely with project teams on financial aspects of various projects.
  • Perform financial data analysis and reporting.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a first degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications like ICAN are a plus.
  • Knowledge of treasury accounting, including FX, liquidity, and cash flow management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar software.
  • Ability to create financial reporting templates.
  • Strong analytical, research, communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • High discretion and excellent people management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proactive with high ethical standards, professionalism, and diplomacy.
