Job Summary:
The role involves leading a high-performing team of data scientists and machine learning engineers to deliver continuous results. The individual will manage the full lifecycle of data science products and portfolios, drive the development of new machine learning capabilities, and ensure the delivery of business value through advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and inspire a team of data scientists, providing guidance on best practices for machine learning, statistical modeling, and data-driven decision-making.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, supporting the career growth of team members.
- Product Management:
- Collaborate with business development, product managers, and other key stakeholders to refine and enhance existing data science products.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Supervise the deployment and maintenance of machine learning models in production, ensuring their scalability and reliability.
- Solution Innovation & Development:
- Design and develop new data-driven products and services using machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics to meet the evolving needs of the business.
- Identify and implement innovative applications of data science to add value to the platform.
- Integrate machine learning capabilities into operational processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy across workflows.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership:
- Work closely with business development teams to identify new opportunities for data-driven solutions and partnerships.
- Collaborate with product managers to define technical requirements for new features, ensuring smooth integration of data science solutions into the product.
- Research & Development:
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and data engineering.
- Lead R&D initiatives on emerging technologies such as natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and predictive modeling to ensure continuous innovation.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for data science initiatives, ensuring a measurable impact on business growth and operational efficiency.
- Drive improvements in the performance of deployed models, optimizing for accuracy, speed, and interpretability.
- Champion best practices in MLOps and oversee infrastructure improvements for all machine learning and data science initiatives.
Requirements:
- Academic Qualification(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Qualification(s):
- Not mandatory.
- Experience:
- At least 7 years in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics, ideally within the fintech, telecom, or banking sectors.
- 2-3 years of experience leading junior data scientists.
- Proven track record in designing, developing, and deploying data science products in production environments.
