Job Overview
- The Head of HR & Administration is responsible for overseeing all human resources and administrative functions within the hospital.
- This includes managing staffing, employee relations, policy implementation, payroll, recruitment, training, compliance with healthcare regulations, and day-to-day operations related to administrative services.
- The role ensures that the HR and admin departments run smoothly, supporting hospital operations and aligning with the strategic goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration and human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and staff welfare.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a positive work environment and compliance with labor laws.
- Coordinate administrative activities such as facility management, logistics, and general services to support hospital operations.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop training and development programs.
- Develop HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
- Manage employee benefits, compensation, and performance management systems.
- Oversee the development and delivery of training programs for staff.
- Ensure that the hospital meets continuing education and certification requirements for medical staff.
- Ensure efficient operation of administrative services such as patient admissions, records management, and billing coordination.
- Handle contracts, vendors, and procurement processes.
- Implement employee engagement and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Lead initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Monitor employee performance, handle grievances, and foster a culture of engagement and productivity.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s Degree (MHA, MBA, or related field) is preferred.
Specific Certifications:
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
- Certification in Healthcare Administration (e.g., CHHR, Certified Healthcare Administrator) is preferred.
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and labor laws.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience in HR or administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in HR management, including recruitment, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Experience in managing administrative services in a medical facility or hospital.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, employee benefits, and healthcare-specific compliance standards.
