Job Overview

The IT Support Officer will be primarily responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of computer systems, routers, switches, and internet connectivity, ensuring that users can maximize their use of these technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational and system support to staff.
  • Set up local area networks (LAN) for new outlets while addressing ongoing IT issues.
  • Verify the functionality of both hardware and software components.
  • Perform regular network backup operations.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Plan and conduct scheduled maintenance and system upgrades.
  • Restrict access to unauthorized websites, downloads, and users.
  • Set up user accounts, assist staff with log-in issues, and provide troubleshooting support.
  • Install and train users on club lighting and controller systems.
  • Resolve hardware and software issues both in person, remotely, and via phone.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults with computer software and hardware.
  • Repair equipment, replace parts, and ensure electrical safety of computer systems.
  • Maintain records of software licenses.

Requirements

  • OND/Diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Previous experience is not required, but it is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Creative, open-minded, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Ibadan.
