Job Overview
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all equipment, machinery, and systems at the LPG facility are functioning optimally.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment, including pumps, compressors, valves, and storage tanks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure adherence to scheduled maintenance plans.
- Assist in the procurement and inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during maintenance activities.
- Work with the Operations Supervisor and Safety Officers to ensure that all systems meet operational and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and take corrective actions to restore operations.
Requirements
- Education: HND/ND or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: Relevant technical certifications in mechanical or electrical systems (e.g., HSE training, technical trade certifications) are a plus.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in the oil and gas or industrial sector. Experience with LPG systems and related equipment is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and record-keeping. Knowledge of LPG-specific equipment like pumps, compressors, and vapor recovery systems.
