Position Overview

The Strategy Manager will play a pivotal role in steering strategic initiatives that align with Ardova Plc’s objectives. Leading a team of professionals, you will conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and collaborate across departments to uncover new business opportunities, enhance operational efficiencies, and drive growth within the African energy sector.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Lead the development, refinement, and execution of both short- and long-term strategies.
  • Establish clear, measurable goals and KPIs to ensure alignment with the company’s overall vision.

Market & Competitive Analysis:

  • Perform in-depth market research on industry developments, competitor actions, and best practices.
  • Identify potential growth areas and evaluate risks to inform decision-making.

Operational Leadership:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Track the progress of initiatives, address challenges, and provide updates to senior management.

Business Development:

  • Cultivate new commercial partnerships and enhance existing ones.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand Ardova Plc’s market presence and share.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Use advanced analytics for forecasting, scenario modeling, and strategic planning.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for executive decisions.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge-sharing.
  • Promote a collaborative and high-performance atmosphere within the Strategy Division.

Requirements

Education:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 7 to 8 years in management consulting, investment banking, or strategy roles (preferably in the oil & gas sector).
  • Demonstrated success in formulating and executing strategy in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Analytical thinking with a focus on problem-solving and achieving results.
