Position Overview
The Managing Director (MD) will oversee the operations, strategic direction, and growth of the company’s midstream business within the Energy sector, specifically LNG. This role entails managing the gas processing, commercialization, transportation, storage, and distribution of LNG products, ensuring operational excellence and financial performance while maintaining safety and sustainability standards. The MD will collaborate with senior leadership, regulatory bodies, and customers to drive performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the company’s strategic vision, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. Lead long-term planning, investment decisions, and expansion initiatives in the midstream sector. Identify new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships to enhance the company’s market position. - Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations, including transportation infrastructure (pipelines, terminals), storage facilities, and logistics. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, focusing on safety, sustainability, and operational efficiency. Work with teams to continuously improve cost-effectiveness and asset utilization. - Financial Management:
Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Control capital expenditures and costs while driving revenue growth and profitability. Provide accurate financial insights to the Board of Directors. - Risk Management and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to local, regional, and international regulations governing midstream operations, such as environmental and safety standards. Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize operational and financial risks. Champion a safety-first culture with a focus on zero incidents. - Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as customers, regulatory bodies, government agencies, and joint venture partners. Represent the company in industry forums and with government authorities. Facilitate clear communication between internal teams and external partners. - Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and motivate the senior leadership team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance. Oversee recruitment, training, and succession planning to ensure the development of operational and executive talent. - Sustainability and Innovation:
Promote sustainability practices aligned with environmental goals and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Drive the adoption of innovative technologies to improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact, solidifying the company’s leadership in midstream solutions.

- Financial outcomes (revenue, EBITDA, profitability)

Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. - Experience:
15-20 years in the oil and gas industry, with significant experience in midstream operations such as pipelines, storage, and transportation. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Managing Director, VP, or General Manager) within the midstream sector. Proven success in managing large-scale operations and delivering strong financial and operational results. - Skills:
Expert leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities. Comprehensive understanding of midstream operations, including marketing, commercial agreements, and infrastructure management. Deep knowledge of regulatory, health, safety, and environmental standards within the oil and gas industry. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and P&L management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships. - Personal Attributes:
