Job Overview
We are seeking a Business Systems Engineer with NetSuite experience who is committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions, enhancing process efficiency, and continuously developing their skills. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of business systems and play a key role in supporting Canonical’s business operations.
The Commercial Systems team at Canonical is responsible for systems like NetSuite, Salesforce, and others. As part of this team, you will collaborate with different engineering and business teams to implement business processes, ensure system compliance, and provide exceptional experiences for internal users. This is an ideal role for someone eager to understand the business, maintain high engineering standards, and contribute to a world-class experience for Canonical employees.
This position is remote within the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engineering solutions for NetSuite, Salesforce, and other business systems.
- Work closely with team members to define business requirements, technical designs, and perform code reviews.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of Canonical’s business processes.
- Depending on your level of experience, provide guidance, mentorship, and career development support to junior team members.
- Promote best engineering and organizational practices within the team.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong academic background, including high school and university education.
- An undergraduate degree in a technical field, or a compelling story about your alternative career path.
- A proven track record of exceeding expectations and achieving excellent results.
- Experience working with NetSuite, Salesforce, or other CRM/ERP systems.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Results-driven, with a strong commitment to fulfilling obligations.
- Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in performance engineering and security.
- Background in accounting, sales, or sales operations, or other related business functions.
