Position Overview
As a Strategy Officer at Ardova Plc, you will contribute to the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives that align with the company’s overarching goals. Through comprehensive market research, data analysis, and collaboration across teams, you will identify new business opportunities, optimize operations, and drive long-term growth within Africa’s energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Support: Assist in the development and fine-tuning of both short-term and long-term strategies. Help establish measurable goals and KPIs that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitor strategies, and industry best practices. Assess risks and uncover opportunities for growth to inform strategic decision-making.
- Operational Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of strategic initiatives. Track project progress, report key updates, and provide support in resolving any challenges that arise.
- Business Development Assistance: Contribute to identifying new commercial partnerships and strengthening existing relationships. Explore and evaluate potential markets and opportunities to extend Ardova Plc’s reach.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage analytics and forecasting tools to support scenario planning and strategic modeling. Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other strategy team members, sharing insights and best practices to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in management consulting, investment banking, or strategic roles, with a preference for experience in oil & gas. Proven experience in data analysis, market research, or project management.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Soft Skills: Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with strong stakeholder management capabilities. Adaptable, results-driven, and eager to learn in a dynamic work environment.
