THE ROLE:

Process Improvement Analyst

IT Services (ITS) plays a crucial role within the new Infrastructure Services Directorate, which also includes the University Estates & Facilities Directorate.

Technology Services, where this position is based, is a new department within IT, responsible for overseeing the university’s strategic platforms. This shift aims to establish consistency and governance across the university’s technologies, including platforms like the University’s Data Exchange (UDX), Student Information Systems, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and the new ERP.

The Process Improvement Analyst will join a Product Team, serving as a change advocate across the organization. The role involves analyzing existing processes, understanding system capabilities, and optimizing processes and systems to maximize operational efficiency with minimal technical customization. This approach supports the university’s ‘adopt, not adapt’ principle, prioritizing process changes over system modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify inefficiencies and areas for process improvement across the organization.
  • Use data analysis to quantify process performance and address root causes of inefficiencies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, establish goals, and prioritize improvements.
  • Work with process owners to develop and implement strategies for process optimization, including standardized procedures, automation, and workflow redesigns.
