Job Overview
As a Risk Consulting Associate, you will be instrumental in helping clients develop effective risk management strategies. Collaborating closely with senior consultants and managers, you’ll assist in identifying, evaluating, and addressing risks while offering solutions to enhance business processes. This role offers direct client interaction, data analysis, and compliance evaluation, making it perfect for professionals who excel in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior consultants in engaging with clients to understand their business needs and define project goals.
- Participate in client meetings, interviews, and workshops to gather essential insights.
- Conduct risk assessments by identifying potential risks, assessing control effectiveness, and evaluating their impact.
- Analyze financial statements, operations, and data to identify risk exposure.
- Perform external quality assurance reviews of internal audit functions.
- Evaluate clients’ adherence to industry regulations and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate in the creation and presentation of strategies for process improvements and risk mitigation.
- Maintain project documentation, including risk assessments, findings, and action plans.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for clients.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
- Aid in resource allocation, budget oversight, and overall project management tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to provide progress updates.
- Stay current with industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- 4-5 years of experience in risk consulting, risk management, or a comparable field.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and effective project management abilities.
