At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency. These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

As a business application consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide consulting services for a wide range of business applications. You will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.


We are looking for a Dynamics 365 Business Central Techno functional consultant with strong experience in MS D365Business Central implementations. This person must be confident and willing to jump into a fast-paced environment, where he/she will be given the opportunity to work with clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the implementation of cloud Business Central solutions.
  • Manage, customise, and develop extensions within the Business Central environment.
  • Integrate Business Central with other systems using common data formats like APIs and CSV.
  • Design, Configure, development, deployment, installation, support and new customization in Business Central with writing code in AL programming using extension development.
  • Provides technical input in creating functional specifications when customizations or extensions to Microsoft Dynamics solutions are needed.
  • Understand customers’ needs and collaborate with other consultants and support teams to complete design and testing documentation
  • Development of technical documents, custom reports, writing XML ports and queries.
  • Should have experience in development of customer support processes, technical planning, and work coordination.
  • Providing support and training when necessary.
  • Perform gap analysis between package functionality and customer requirements.
  • Should have excellent analytic, logical and programming skills.
  • Exposure to preparing code units and pages to be used as web service and exposure to be working with web service.
  • Utilise broad expertise across various Business Central modules.
  • Provide support in database management and reporting using tools like Power BI.
  • Perform system analysis, configuration, development, and issue resolution within Business Central.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are effectively translated into system solutions.
  • Contribute to project success by collaborating with internal teams and supporting key project milestones.
  • Implementation of Business Central throughout the full project life cycle.
  • Data gathering, preparation, and import into Business Central.
  • Configuration of Business Central to meet customer requirements.
  • Carry out trainings (UAT Sessions) for clients when necessary.
  • Deliver effective Consultancy throughout the project life cycle
  • Undertake presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Provide support to customers when needed.
  • Fundamental grasp of how Business Central and other technologies can be used to drive delivery
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Ability to effectively work in a cross-functional team environment including business and product development, supply chain and procurement processes, and execution dependencies.
  • Strong track record of influencing successful product/solution vision/roadmap and executing a plan.
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with end-to-end Business Central implementations.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality technology services in a very high-growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.
  • Support Go-Live activities and assist in the transition to the new system.


Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with multiple implementations.
  • Strong skills in managing and developing system customisations and extensions.
  • Experience in integrating Business Central with other platforms using various data formats.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Business Central modules and functionalities.
  • Ability to develop reports.
  • Strong financial knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and expertise in communicating with teams across geographies
  • Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline (preferably Computer Science)
  • Over 4 – 6years experience in a Dynamics 365 Business Central consultancy role
  • Demonstrates good judgment and professional advice to clients.
  • Can work with stakeholders to deliver key and informative reporting.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in software development using Microsoft A/L, C/AL, and .NET for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Strong database knowledge, especially with MS SQL Server, and capable of using Transact-SQL to develop stored procedures.
  • Ability to perform system upgrades.
  • Experience with system integrations using REST APIs, Web services, SQL Server Replication, and C#.
  • Understanding of Events and Subscribers and Dynamics NAV Web Services (REST, SOAP, Json etc) .
  • Knowledge on RDLC Report.
  • Knowledge about Security certificates.
  • Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI and Power Automate).
