Job Summary
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficient and accurate development of software code by supervising and coordinating a team of developers and other stakeholders within the engineering department. This role is responsible for ensuring that software solutions are delivered on time and according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop software according to the approved specifications, ensuring timely delivery in line with the project plan.
- Assist the Lead, Enterprise Software in developing detailed specifications to produce clear and actionable documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process or tool optimizations to improve software development efficiency within Interswitch, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct research on data, trends, and benchmarks related to digital products and services design. Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior team members, ensuring they can deliver the required quality of work.
- Ensure the stability of the development environment and address any issues with relevant stakeholders to minimize downtime and facilitate efficient code delivery.
- Suggest technical improvements to enhance the quality of websites, portals, software, and supporting infrastructure to better meet user needs.
- Test new products and services to evaluate them against defined features, functionality, and impact.
- Participate in stand-ups and other project-related meetings to report progress, highlight any delays, and request assistance as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
- Compile and present progress reports on ongoing projects to keep the Lead Architect and other stakeholders informed.
Education
- General Education: First degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience
- General Experience: 3 – 5 years of experience in software engineering, including coding, application engineering, and software architecture.
- Managerial Experience: Experience leading a team of developers to deliver successful results.
