Sr. Field Reimbursement Manager – HIV Prevention

About the Role:
The Sr. Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) – HIV Prevention plays a crucial role in ensuring patient access to Gilead’s HIV treatments. This field-based position involves providing training and support to healthcare providers (HCPs), patients, and stakeholders on access and reimbursement processes. The Sr. FRM acts as an expert on HIV Prevention market access, navigating payer policies and addressing coverage challenges to facilitate timely treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with office staff at key accounts (providers, specialty pharmacies).
- Serve as a local access and reimbursement expert, providing education and support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the patient support program team to optimize hub and FRM processes (benefit verification, prior authorizations).
- Oversee provider enrollment in patient support programs and resolve complex patient access issues.
- Communicate changes in formulary or reimbursement processes.
- Develop instructional resources on reimbursement best practices.
- Enhance communication between FRMs and case managers.
- Identify and address bottlenecks in the prescription process.
- Adapt to diverse environments and practices, demonstrating cultural awareness.
- Prioritize patient access and positive outcomes through teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience OR Ph.D.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS/RN with 8+ years of experience in field reimbursement at a major pharmaceutical company OR MA/MS/PharmD with 6+ years of experience in field reimbursement at a major pharmaceutical company.
- Prior leadership experience.
- Deep understanding of payer-provider-pharma relationships in reimbursement.
- Experience managing large, complex provider accounts.
- Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, specialty payer landscape, and reimbursement pathways (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
- Knowledge of local and state policy impact on reimbursement.
- Experience with specialty pharmacies and HUB services.
- Ability to travel up to 75% (including overnights).
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $150,535.00 – $194,810.00. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and location. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, stock-based1 incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package.
