Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the configuration, customization, and integration of complex NetSuite workflows and systems.
  • Establish and implement best practices for data security, governance, and compliance within NetSuite.
  • Demonstrate expertise in scripting, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide valuable insights into business performance.
  • Oversee routine system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure NetSuite runs smoothly and reliably.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, enhancing their proficiency and effectiveness with NetSuite.
  • Manage Sandbox accounts for development and testing, ensuring smooth deployment of customizations and updates to production.
  • Stay informed on new NetSuite features, assessing their impact on business processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement across teams, focusing on end-to-end automation of the revenue lifecycle.
  • Incorporate industry best practices and emerging technologies to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
  • Evaluate the impact of non-standard contracts and new products on revenue recognition processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of professionals in revenue accounting and systems accounting.
  • Assist with month-end revenue close, including reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and other necessary reporting tasks.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls for revenue transactions and reporting.
  • Research and draft accounting memos on significant revenue recognition and policy matters.
  • Serve as the main liaison with external auditors regarding order-to-cash processes.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong academic performance, with a track record from both high school and university.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an alternative career path with a compelling story.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification, with strong technical accounting skills and IFRS experience.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS 15 and related SaaS and services revenue recognition rules.
  • Leadership experience and a history of exceeding expectations.
  • Expertise in software licensing, subscription models, and services revenue accounting.
  • Experience managing revenue recognition and scaling accounting processes in high-growth environments.
  • Familiarity with ERP, Rev Rec, CRM, CPQ, and related software tools (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred).
  • Experience working in a multi-country, multi-currency environment with complex operations and tax implications.
  • Proficiency in professional written and spoken English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, accountability, curiosity, and adaptability.
  • Self-motivation, a results-oriented mindset, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel twice a year for up to two weeks for company events.
