Position Overview

The Well Test Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing well testing operations in both an Early Production Facility (EPF) and Trucking Project. The role ensures the effective, safe, and cost-efficient execution of well test activities, including data collection, equipment upkeep, flow assurance, and personnel management. The Supervisor is also accountable for adhering to safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Well Test Operations Management:

  • Oversee, plan, and coordinate well testing operations, including flowback, clean-up, and data gathering.
  • Ensure proper setup and functioning of well testing equipment such as separators, flow meters, and flare stacks.
  • Monitor test parameters and provide real-time analysis of well performance data.

HSE Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Enforce compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and industry regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification throughout operations.
  • Ensure waste management practices and environmental protections during flaring and fluid disposal.

Equipment & Maintenance:

  • Ensure well test equipment is maintained, calibrated, and functioning optimally.
  • Coordinate logistics for mobilizing and demobilizing well test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges encountered during testing.

Personnel Management & Coordination:

  • Supervise well test operators and crews, ensuring adherence to work schedules and job responsibilities.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members.
  • Communicate with on-site company representatives, field engineers, and service providers to maintain smooth operations.

Data Acquisition & Reporting:

  • Ensure precise recording and reporting of well test results.
  • Prepare comprehensive well test reports and offer recommendations for production optimization.
  • Collaborate with reservoir and production engineers to interpret well test data.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Petroleum, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 7–10 years of well testing experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of EPF and trucking operations in oil and gas production.
  • Expertise in well test interpretation, PVT analysis, and production optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with well test equipment like separators, meters, and flare stacks.
  • Valid HSE and offshore/onshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, H2S, First Aid).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with multi-phase flow metering and production logging tools.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic fracturing and artificial lift techniques.
  • Understanding of well integrity, flow assurance, and sand management.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance.
