Job Overview

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager will lead financial planning activities, drive performance analysis, and provide key insights to support strategic decision-making throughout the organization. This role will collaborate with senior leadership and various business units to ensure financial targets are aligned with company objectives. The FP&A Manager will also oversee the development of forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting:

  • Lead the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Create financial models to guide decision-making and predict future performance for key business units.
  • Perform variance analysis, identifying key performance drivers compared to budget/forecast, and collaborate with senior management to address performance gaps.

Business Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze financial and operational data to provide insights into profitability, cost management, and financial trends.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives.
  • Work with department heads to track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business performance metrics.

Strategic Financial Support:

  • Serve as a financial partner to the Finance department head, offering actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and meet business objectives.
  • Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, capital investments, and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.

Reporting & Presentation:

  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial results to stakeholders, offering clear insights and actionable recommendations.

Process Improvement & Best Practices:

  • Continuously seek ways to optimize financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes.
  • Implement best practices in FP&A to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business strategies.
  • Lead improvements in financial systems, tools, and data management to enhance decision-making and reporting.

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA, ACA, or ACCA is a plus.
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, finance, or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
  • Strong experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proven ability to work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of FMCG industry trends and financial best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel (advanced), and financial systems (e.g., SAP, ODOO, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide a high-performing team.
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).
