Key Responsibilities
- Create and update 2D CAD drawings, including PFDs, P&IDs, One-Lines, General Layouts, Plans, Sections, and Details, using AutoCAD (required), Microstation, and/or SmartSketch.
- Demonstrate strong technical abilities alongside effective communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Tasks and Duties
- Produce computer-generated drawings, isometrics, schedules, data sheets, and detailed plans.
- Prepare both dimensional and non-dimensional drawings, such as one-line diagrams.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and other project members.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth communication and coordination across disciplines.
- Provide document control, database administration, and progress updates.
- Coordinate communication between the company and contractors to address issues affecting engineering drawings.
- Keep the Supervisor informed of progress, changes, and challenges in discipline engineering.
- Contribute to internal engineering or global practice initiatives as directed by Management.
- Work with design originators to resolve any discrepancies between original and final CAD designs.
- May oversee and mentor junior CAD drafters.
Skills and Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Experience with CAD design tools.
- Associate’s Degree in Drafting or equivalent from a technical school or college.
- Proficient with 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, and SmartSketch.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, particularly in technical and business contexts.
