Job Description

Growth Strategy Definition and Execution

  • Assist the Head of Growth in shaping the local marketing strategy and adapting the global playbook to meet local market needs.
  • Lead the execution of local marketing efforts (both offline and online) and optimize content to achieve growth targets.
  • Understand the local media landscape and determine the optimal mix of digital and non-digital investments to maximize user growth while maintaining the agreed-upon Cost of Acquisition (CAC).
  • Identify and establish local partnerships to build brand awareness in Nigeria.

Analytical & Research Responsibilities

  • Use your expertise in quantitative analysis and data presentation to understand user behavior, identify growth opportunities, and execute projects aimed at increasing user engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Research team to conduct qualitative research (surveys, focus groups, etc.) to understand the user base and gather valuable feedback.
  • Track market trends and collect industry intelligence to stay informed.

Budget Management and Metrics Monitoring

  • Manage the marketing budget for the country.
  • Monitor key growth metrics and ensure appropriate visibility for all stakeholders (Head of Growth – Nigeria, General Manager – Nigeria, Regional Marketing Director – Africa, and HQ).

Project & Stakeholder Management Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with HQ Growth teams and oversee activities across all marketing channels.
  • Lead the execution of cross-functional growth initiatives (e.g., product launches, new feature rollouts) by collaborating closely with local teams (Commercial, Content, Partner Operations, Operations, etc.) and HQ teams (Product, Pricing, CRM, Performance Marketing, Brand & Comms).
  • Define and analyze success metrics for growth initiatives.
  • Compile and present performance reports on marketing campaigns by collaborating with the analytics department and other teams (both HQ and local).
  • Communicate updates and implementations clearly and meticulously to all stakeholders and teams.
  • Build and maintain meaningful business relationships with key partners, media agencies, media outlets, and social media agencies.

What You Bring to the Role

  • 3-5 years of growth experience in a leading consumer technology company, FMCG, media, or e-commerce sector, in a role with similar or larger responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience handling complex business challenges. Familiarity with analytical tools (Looker, PowerBI, SQL, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proven success in driving business growth, defining investment strategies, and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and design skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts creatively and compellingly.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and delivering value efficiently.
  • Full proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency with G Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and/or Microsoft Office.
  • Solid understanding of media channels, with the ability to track and report on key performance marketing metrics.
