Job Title: Maintenance Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

  • The Logistics/Maintenance Officer will be responsible for managing the overall facility, conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment, performing preventative maintenance, handling basic repairs and maintenance like plumbing work, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, electrical repairs and heating and air conditioning system maintenance, overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary, diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them, and repairing machines and equipment as necessary.

Job Description

  • Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of all CAREONE’s facilities.
  • Coordinate regular inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Manage service contracts and relationships with vendors for facility maintenance including repairs, upgrades, and renovations, security, cleaning, and other necessary services.
  • Monitor the performance of contractors and ensure they meet service agreements and timelines
  • Ensure that the facility provides a relaxing and welcoming environment for clients at all times.
  • Ensure the generators are in proper working order through routine checks and maintenance.
  • Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to identify and address electrical issues promptly.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of facility assets, including equipment, furniture, and other resources.
  • Organize regular inventory audits to ensure proper record-keeping and prevent loss or theft.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols for both staff and clients to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure the functionality Carry out fire alarm testing as and when required.
  • Keep fire exits clear at all times and ensure fire extinguishers are duly serviced Control expenses related to supplies, and utilities, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-saving measures.
  • Ensuring the continuous effective reduction in the cost of repairs and maintenance of CAREONE’s clinic equipment, through the strict compliance to manufacturers’ precautionary guidelines.
  • Ensuring that the process and procedures for call-outs, maintenance, and installations, as well as standard operating procedures, are strictly adhered to Assisting and updating maintenance operating procedures and ensuring implementation.
  • Assist in the collection, transportation, assembly, dismantling of goods, equipment within CAREONE’s clinic Other duties as assigned by Finance Manager, Medical Director or Board of Directors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Industrial Tech etc.
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Familiarity and compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of handling hospital types of machinery and equipment.
