Position Overview
Reach out to the appropriate departments (e.g., Sales, Data Administration, Accounting) as needed to address guest calls, requests, or issues. Utilize sales techniques that maximize revenue while ensuring guest loyalty to Marriott, including upselling. Determine and offer complimentary items to guests as a gesture of appreciation (e.g., rewards points, show tickets, gift certificates). Raise awareness of the brand image both internally and externally. Process requests for Marriott Rewards points redemptions.
Handle all reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations via phone, fax, or mail. Input Marriott Rewards information when processing guest reservations. Answer, record, and address all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns.
Perform administrative duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, emailing, typing, faxing). Assist in training and motivating employees and serve as a role model. Adhere to all company policies and procedures; maintain a clean and professional appearance; ensure confidentiality of proprietary information; safeguard company assets.
Greet and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Communicate clearly and professionally, prepare and review written documents accurately, and answer telephones with proper etiquette. Build and maintain positive working relationships, supporting the team to achieve shared goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns. Monitor others’ performance to ensure quality standards are met.
Read and visually verify information in various formats. Perform physical tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pulling, or placing objects up to 10 pounds without assistance. Complete other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
- License or Certification: None required.
