Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee and manage procurement activities, ensuring the timely availability of materials to support the operational needs of various departments, ultimately contributing to the achievement of the organization’s overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate procurement functions, providing daily updates to the Head of Supply Chain.
  • Maintain and update the vendor database on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure that all user requests are approved by the C/GGM and submitted before the end of each business day.
  • Guarantee that every Purchase Request (PR) includes at least three quotes to facilitate cost reduction and ensure they remain within budget.
  • Ensure that all PRs are accurately generated with no errors and have approval from the relevant Heads of Departments (HODs).
  • Lead seasonal meetings on a weekly basis to review progress and delegate tasks.
  • Convert all PRs to Purchase Orders (POs) within 48 hours, securing the necessary approvals.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a BSc or HND in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • An MBA is preferred.

Professional Certification:

  • Membership in the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management of Nigeria.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of hands-on managerial experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
