Job Purpose
This role is responsible for establishing procedures, guidelines, and strategies for security policies aimed at safeguarding our employees, partners, and organizational assets from both internal and external threats, including risks posed by employees and vendors. The role oversees security operations across all Beta Glass facilities in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with the organization’s security policies and procedures.
- Coordinate security compliance activities across the organization.
- Provide security and safety training to the workforce.
- Monitor adherence to security policies and procedures by employees, contractors, partners, and third parties, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Manage responses to safety and security incidents.
- Oversee internal control systems to ensure proper access levels and security clearances are maintained.
- Conduct security risk assessments and periodic reviews of security processes.
- Act as an internal security consultant for the organization.
- Stay informed about advancements in security technologies.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and accreditation standards impacting security.
- Promote safety and security awareness throughout the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Law, or related fields.
- 7-10 years of experience in security management.
- Military or paramilitary experience is an advantage.
- Strong ability to plan, design, implement, test, and monitor security systems.
- Experience handling all aspects of safety and security management.
- Proficiency with a variety of security systems, monitoring, and detection tools.
