Job Summary

The Forecourt Automation Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales of petroleum forecourt solutions, with a key focus on forecourt automation systems, within the Nigerian retail fuel sector. This role involves identifying customer needs, designing tailored solutions, presenting proposals, and fostering long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales:

  • Identify and qualify prospective customers in the Nigerian market.
  • Conduct site assessments to fully understand customer requirements.
  • Design and present compelling proposals for forecourt automation solutions, encompassing hardware, software, and services.
  • Negotiate and close deals effectively with clients.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets related to forecourt automation systems.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with both existing and potential clients.
  • Provide ongoing customer support and advice on the use and maintenance of forecourt automation systems.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries and resolve issues.

Market Research:

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and shifting customer needs in the Nigerian market.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the technical team to ensure smooth implementation of forecourt automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to meet sales and business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in selling forecourt automation solutions (e.g., Wayne Fusion, Gilbarco Passport, Tokheim ProGauge) within the Nigerian market.
  • Strong understanding of the Nigerian petroleum industry and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid Nigerian driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Experience with POS system integration with forecourt equipment.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., D360, Gilbarco DOMs).
